A Crimson Night

  • Settle Victoria Hall 24 Kirkgate Settle, England, BD24 9DZ United Kingdom (map)

40 years of Echo and the Bunnymen.

Put your faith in those crimson nights
Set Sail in those turquoise days
(Turquoise Days, Echo and the Bunnymen)

5th May 1979; Echo and the Bunnymen emerge from the late seventies Liverpool scene (See Eric’s club in Matthew Street, opposite the legendary Cavern Club of old). They hit the ground running with their first single, Pictures on My Wall (… are about to swing and fall, as good a statement of intent as any). What happens next? Ask any long-time Bunnymen fan and they might say ‘Rollercoaster’.

4th May 2019: Fast forward forty years, dig out your raincoat and groove once more! One night only, Settle Victoria Hall will be hosting a Crimson Night of Bunnymen Music. What will we be playing? Records! So a disco then? Pretty Much. What will we be playing? Old stuff, new stuff… Simple Stuff.
