Psychedelic pop rock band Maia are on tour playing a number of songs from their previous three albums .
The Leeds-based quartet were enthusiastically received at the prestigious Fairport's Cropredy Convention, where they played to an audience of over 20,000 people. Other highlights have included two live sessions on BBC Radio 4s 'Loose Ends', 'Time Out' magazines Album of the Week for their 2012 release, Pepper Stars, as well as winning the 'Yorkshire Gig Guide' award for Outstanding Live Band.
Audiences love Maia’s relaxed vibe and brilliant musicianship with the show drawing upon influences from the likes of Pink Floyd, David Bowie and The Beach Boys. The album Wild Waters delivers ornate jungle guitars and shimmering mandolins combined with foot stomping percussive grooves.
