I’m bringing Opera to the People in a down to earth and friendly way. I let the audience choose the songs I sing from my Song Menu, full of popular opera, popular classical songs, songs from musicals and a pop opera section. There’s something for everyone. It’s uplifting and touching, and a night to remember.
Nicola Mills has worked for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Dutch National Opera, Opera Monte Carlo, and The Flemish Opera, and decided to take opera to the streets. This turned into Opera for the People, where she has been filmed by BBC Look North, appeared in the Big Issue, and will appear in the Yorkshire Proms at The Piece Hall later this year. She’s sang all around Europe and in New York and loves bringing ‘Opera to the People’.
