Opera-lele Christmas Show: Christmas, Carols and Comedy

  • Settle Victoria Hall 24 Kirkgate Settle, England, BD24 9DZ United Kingdom (map)

Back for 2024 – Opera-lele warmly invites you to join them for their updated Opera-lele Christmas Show which is suitable for all the family. The show will feature sizzling operatic highlights alongside festive favourites and carols for all to sing and play along. Come along and get that festive feeling at the jolliest singalong in town! It’s the sure-fire way to sprinkle some sparkling seasonal spirit on a dark December day.

Opera-lele is a unique musical comedy act specialising in singing music from opera and musical theatre accompanied by the emotionally powerful yet understated twang of the ukulele.

Having both trained as singers at the Royal College of Music and Goldsmiths College in London, George & Mandi have gone on individually to forge careers for themselves as entertainers of the highest calibre.

They joined forces to form Opera-lele and in 2016, they burst onto the music scene with a performance on the main stage of the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival. Audiences were stunned, excited and delighted by what they saw and heard. They received a standing ovation and were described by many as the surprise hit of the festival.

Since then, Opera-lele has been counting standing ovations at music festivals, cabaret stages, theatres, churches and castles across the UK and overseas.

Tickets £17.50 (including a festive mince pie!)

  • Most of our shows use ‘cabaret-style’ seating. This means that your seats will be unreserved, which allows you to decide where to sit when you arrive.

The stalls (downstairs) are set up informally, with chairs around small tables, for a sociable, relaxed atmosphere, and somewhere to put your drink. Cabaret seating also allows space for dancing, which is highly encouraged at Victoria Hall!

For those who prefer a more ‘traditional’ theatre experience, the balcony seats are laid out in rows and raked, ensuring all seats have an excellent view.

For parties of six or more, tables in the stalls can be reserved- contact us to reserve a table. If you have reserved a table, we ask that at least one of your party turn up at least 30 minutes before the performance start time, in order to secure your table.

We can always reserve seating or wheelchair spaces in the stalls for those unable to use the stairs- just let us know when you book your tickets.
