Project Trust Fundraising Evening

  • Settle Victoria Hall 24 Kirkgate Settle, England, BD24 9DZ United Kingdom (map)

I am holding a fundraising concert on the 7th of April to raise money for my 12 month placement with Project Trust in Myanmar. I need to raise £6200.

There will be live music ( a mixture of genres and instruments! ) buffet style food ( all vegetarian ), a raffle and some information regarding my trip.

The evening will begin with music followed by a talk from me regarding my trip and a talk from Ann Harding ( a return volunteer with Project Trust ). Food will be from around 6:50pm until 7:30pm alongside the drawing of the raffle. The evening will end with a final 30 minutes of music.

All money raised from tickets and during the evening will go towards funding my year as an English teacher in Myanmar.

Final line up:

Jenny Hucknall; an accomplished pianist will play a number of beautiful pieces of piano music including some of Chopin and Debussy. Not only is Jenny a student at QES she is a member of the Hallé youth orchestra.

QES 6th form choir will perform a number of pieces ranging from lively and modern to classical and traditional. The choir will be performing a composition by Solomon Russel Cohen, a member of the 6th form choir.

Silvercult, also known as James Brown ( not the original ... ) is a one man tour de force. With an album recently released on Spotify, Silvercult will bring you original music written and performed by James Brown.

‘Thunk’, an exciting, young, lively funk band. All members are current students at QES.

This evening will be musically diverse and exciting for both the performers and audience. With varied genres, tempos and composers, the evening will be one to remember.
