One of the most talked-about folk bands of the 21st century, Talisk have been tearing apart stereotypes and redefining the genre for almost a decade. With over 15 million streams, 10,000 albums sold worldwide, and sold out shows across five continents - from Paris to New York, London to Tokyo, Glasgow to Vancouver - alongside headline appearances at festivals the world over, the Scottish trio have amassed a global, die-hard following.
Wielding instruments that have rarely seen the likes of their music, Mohsen Amini (concertina), Benedict Morris (violin) and Charlie Galloway (guitar) have stacked up major awards for their explosively energetic sound - including five between BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Scotland, and two highly coveted BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards.
At New Year 2022 they played BBC One’s Hogmanay show to a television audience in excess of one million, and - as the only folk act alongside pop headliners - quickly amassed a vast, mainstream audience that continues to propel the group to some of their largest live shows to date. Gigging since the age of 12, Harriet’s music and performances have been highly acclaimed everywhere and she is well known for her ability to draw the audience in and have them hang onto every word. The multi-instrumentalist prides herself on offering a unique Indie/Americana sound with a blend of powerhouse vocals and catchy guitar hooks. Harriet’s songs are often inspired by her own life; the triumphs, trips and tumbles.

Most of our shows use ‘cabaret-style’ seating. This means that your seats will be unreserved, which allows you to decide where to sit when you arrive.
The stalls (downstairs) are set up informally, with chairs around small tables, for a sociable, relaxed atmosphere, and somewhere to put your drink. Cabaret seating also allows space for dancing, which is highly encouraged at Victoria Hall!
For those who prefer a more ‘traditional’ theatre experience, the balcony seats are laid out in rows and raked, ensuring all seats have an excellent view.
For parties of six or more, tables in the stalls can be reserved- contact us to reserve a table. If you have reserved a table, we ask that at least one of your party turn up at least 30 minutes before the performance start time, in order to secure your table.
We can always reserve seating or wheelchair spaces in the stalls for those unable to use the stairs- just let us know when you book your tickets.
